The Combined Civil Services Examination - II (Group 2 and Group 2A Services) is one of the most competitive examinations conducted by the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission. With thousands of administrative posts such as Municipal Commissioner, Sub-Registrar, Junior Employment Officer, and Assistant Section Officer (ASO) on the line, document accuracy is critical.

Under the latest 2026 TNPSC Commission instructions, candidates whose uploaded documents fail biometric face matching or date-stamping rules during the Preliminary Examination or Certificate Verification will be summarily disqualified.

1. TNPSC Group 2 Photo Specifications

📸 Key Photograph Rules:

  • Exact Dimensions: 275px (Width) X 354px (Height) [3.5cm X 4.5cm].
  • File Size: Strictly between 20 KB to 50 KB in .JPG format.
  • Background: Plain white or very light off-white background only.
  • Mandatory Details: The candidate's full name and the date on which the photograph was taken must be printed clearly at the bottom.
  • Photo Recency: The photo must have been taken within 3 months prior to the notification date.

2. TNPSC Group 2 Signature Specifications

✍️ Key Signature Rules:

  • Exact Dimensions: 275px (Width) X 118px (Height) [3.5cm X 1.5cm].
  • File Size: Strictly between 10 KB to 20 KB in .JPG format.
  • Ink Requirement: Dark Blue or Black ballpoint pen on plain white, unruled paper.
  • Prohibited: Signatures in capital block letters (e.g., "R. SANKAR") will be rejected. Use normal running handwriting.
